This time of year, Boise, Idaho attractions are going to include local Easter eggs hunts. While plenty of people will be planning personal hunts for their kids in the backyard of their piece of Boise real estate, others will want to be a little more social. Or they need to find an egg hunt in Boise, because they’re visiting the area for the holiday.

If you fall into either of these categories, you’ll want to take down the following information.

Places You Can Find Local Easter Egg Hunts:

The Riverside Hotel Boise

The Riverside Hotel will hold an Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 20th 2014. If you’re planning on doing this Boise, Idaho activity, you’ll need to make reservations.

Here’s the scoop:

  • Brunch is 9:00 AM to 1 PM (No seating after 1 PM)
  • The egg hunt/s run from 10 AM and 12:30 PM

  • Cost: Kids under five get in free; Kids up to 12 years old $15; Adults $28; Senior Citizens $23

If you aren’t familiar with this downtown Boise hotel, it was at one time the Doubletree. It’s located near the shores of the Boise River in downtown Boise.  Here are some of the Easter brunch menu offerings according to the Riverside’s Easter egg hunt flyer on its website:

  • Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine
  • Carved prime rib recipe (herb crusted)
  • Omelets and crepes stations for made-to-order dishes
  • Pancakes, scrambled eggs, and breakfast meats
  • Mimosas
  • Salads and desserts

If you are vegetarian or on a special diet, you can still participate in this Boise event. There will be both gluten-free and vegetarian options available. Finally, you’ll enjoy being serenaded with harp music by jacqueline Mangus and Stephanie Leavell.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park

The Capital Christian Center will host a local Easter egg hunt in Kleiner Park in Meridian, Idaho. This popular Treasure Valley Park will host kids, friends, neighbors and families of all ages on Saturday, April 19th from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Kid favorites, the Easter Bunny and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too will be there to greet kids as they search for their share of the 60K Easter eggs that will be hidden. People are asked to bring plastic Easter eggs as well, filled with wrapped candies.

Here’s a list of the activities for this local egg hunt:

  • Kiddie train
  • Jump houses (part of a carnival)
  • Egg hunts
  • Swings

The egg hunts begin at 11 and then again at noon.

If you’re interested in participating in a more meaningful way, the event needs over 150 volunteers. These community-minded folks will help with the Welcome Team at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park, the Carnival and in the Egg Fields.

Easter EGGstravaganza at the Boise, ID Zoo

The Boise zoo animals will include one more species for Easter 2014: The Easter bunny will visit Zoo Boise and provide the perfect backdrop for this year’s local Easter egg hunt.

This Easter egg hunt takes place on Saturday, April 12 2014. It starts at 10 AM and goes until 5 PM. If you’re looking for fun things to do in Boise, Idaho that you can do with your kids, this event is a must-attend. The zoo will allow guests in until 4:30 PM at which time, they’ll stop taking admissions.

Here are some of the activities/ games for the Easter egg hunt:

  • Easter egg toss
  • Egg scrambles
  • Face painting
  • Photo opportunities
  • Animal activities/ enrichment

These are the prices for Easter EGGstravaganza at Zoo Boise:

  • Children under 2 years old get in free
  • Kids three to 11: $4.25
  • Adults: $7.00
  • Senior Citizens (62 and above): $4.50

If you have a special annual pass for Zoo Boise, you get in free. Just present your photo ID and the pass at the special entrance gate.
